Microsoft is expanding its AI-driven Security Copilot to provide autonomous support to security teams under pressure. One year after introducing the chatbot, the company is rolling out six AI agents for the Security Copilot, along with five developed by its partners. These agents are designed to handle tasks such as triaging and processing phishing and data loss alerts, prioritizing critical incidents, and monitoring vulnerabilities.
Vasu Jakkal, corporate vice president of Microsoft Security, stated, “The six Microsoft Security Copilot agents enable teams to autonomously handle high-volume security and IT tasks while seamlessly integrating with Microsoft Security solutions.”
In collaboration with OneTrust, Aviatrix, BlueVoyant, Tanium, and Fletch, Microsoft is integrating third-party security agents to simplify tasks like analyzing data breaches and conducting root cause analysis of network failures.
AI agents are becoming increasingly popular as a way for companies like Microsoft to offer AI tools to businesses. Microsoft will also announce more security updates for different industries at its Microsoft Secure event on April 9.
