"Forecasted Surge: Managed Security Services Poised for Growth in 2025"

Forecasted Surge: Managed Security Services Poised for Growth in 2025Rising threats and skill limitations at small and medium-sized business (SMB) customers are driving growth for managed security services providers (MSSPs).

Looking ahead to 2025, experts believe that security and artificial intelligence (AI) will be key areas of focus. Denis Ferrand-Ajchenbaum, chief growth officer at Infinigate Group, expects further growth in the MSSP sector next year.

“SMBs are increasingly aware of the threats they face, with 39% reporting data losses due to cyber attacks in 2023,” said Ferrand-Ajchenbaum. “This rising tide of attacks has forced businesses of all sizes to prioritize cyber resilience.”

With limited resources for in-house experts and infrastructure, SMBs are turning to managed security services. The global managed security services market is projected to reach $67bn by 2025.

Dean Watson, lead solution expert for secure networking at Infinigate UK&I, highlighted the risks and opportunities AI presents for the channel in the coming year. AI adoption is expected to surge, with both cyber criminals and security operations centers leveraging AI-powered tools.

As AI-capable machines enter offices and homes in greater numbers, the channel will play a crucial role in helping businesses identify high-impact use cases for AI and ensuring responsible use to reduce risk.
