Welcome to the Everton live blog for Monday, July 10! The Everton players have returned for pre-season as they gear up for another exciting year in the Premier League. Unfortunately, we have some departures to announce. Ellis Simms has sealed a deal with Coventry City that could potentially earn Everton £8m, while Ishe Samuels-Smith has signed with Chelsea. It was somewhat expected, but manager Sean Dyche will surely be looking to strengthen his squad to avoid another relegation battle. In other news, Everton is reportedly leading the race to sign Leeds United’s 9-year-old Italy international Wilfried Gnonto, ahead of Aston Villa and Inter Milan. Exciting times ahead! There are also talks of signing former Manchester United and Aston Villa star Ashley Young, who turned down other offers from the Premier League and the Championship.
