Liverpool’s Winning Goals Voted in Betfair & YouGov Survey
Betfair is set to launch a new product called 90 Minute Payout ahead of the 2023/24 season. This innovative feature ensures that the match result at 90:00 will remain valid, even if your team concedes in injury time.
Betfair aims to address a common frustration among bettors when their bets lose due to late goals in injury time. With 90 Minute Payout, even if your team is losing in injury time but manages to score two late goals, your bet will still win. Furthermore, if your team is already winning at the 90-minute mark, your bet will be paid out regardless of what happens in added time.
In collaboration with YouGov, Betfair conducted a survey to gather fan opinions on the best stoppage-time goals in recent history. However, the results may raise some eyebrows!
According to the survey, over a quarter of football fans consider Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s stoppage-time winner against Bayern Munich in 1999 as the best-ever 90th-minute goal. This goal was favored by 28% of fans, surpassing Sergio Aguero’s strike against QPR, Steven Gerrard’s equalizer in the FA Cup final, and Alisson Becker’s header against West Brom. (Wait, really?!)
