Welcome to our Liverpool live blog for Tuesday, September 19. The Reds are getting ready for another eventful week, starting with a trip to Austria on Thursday evening to take on LASK Linz in the Europa League.
Jurgen Klopp is optimistic about a successful return to Europe’s second-tier competition as he aims to secure the only trophy missing from his Anfield reign.
In terms of transfers, Liverpool is reportedly in “advanced talks” for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie. The Ecuador international was previously linked with Klopp’s side during the summer window, but it remains to be seen if this reported interest will materialize into something more serious in January.
