Paradyn, a leading cybersecurity service provider in Ireland, has recently announced that it is now offering a proactive managed IT service to six local authorities in the country. This deal, worth €500,000 over three years, is led by Cavan County Council and includes Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Monaghan, and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown (DLR) County Councils.
The new agreement aims to support the daily operations of these local authorities by providing access to highly skilled technical engineers and managed IT support to quickly resolve any incidents. This will minimize the impact on the organizations and the citizens they serve. Additionally, it will save time for the local authorities by reducing the amount of time spent dealing with complex issues.
Furthermore, Paradyn’s solution will enhance network and data security at the councils’ offices and libraries, ensuring the protection of sensitive information for both employees and over 600,000 citizens across these regions. The service will also improve network performance and resilience, reducing downtime and boosting productivity for up to 3,500 county council employees.
The partnership with Paradyn allows internal IT teams to roll out more complex projects and implementations, enhancing services and resources for citizens through advanced network support and expertise provided by Paradyn’s engineers. The company also conducted training and onboarding for the local authorities’ own IT engineers.
Enda Tiernan, Head of Information Systems at Cavan County Council, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, stating that Paradyn’s expertise and reliable support ensure uninterrupted services to the public. Fergal Meehan, Chief Commercial Officer at Paradyn, also expressed delight in working with these local authorities to improve the employee experience and enhance vital resources and services available to citizens.
With their highly experienced and accredited senior engineers, Paradyn aims to deliver a best-in-class service that will futureproof operations for the county councils in an increasingly digital world.
