Broadband providers are under scrutiny as new research from Which? reveals that many customers are dissatisfied with the service they are receiving. The big ISPs, including Virgin Media, Sky, and BT, are being called out for their poor reliability, customer service, and value for money.
Virgin Media, in particular, has been criticized for its above-average connection dropouts and poor customer service. Despite this, users have praised the provider for its overall connection speed. Sky and BT customers also have their fair share of complaints, ranging from slow connection speeds to high prices.
On the flip side, smaller ISPs like Zen, Hyperoptic, and Community Fibre are shining in the eyes of consumers. These companies are offering faster speeds at lower prices and are being praised for their fair pricing and good download speeds.
Natalie Hitchins, Head of Home Products and Services at Which?, advises consumers to consider switching to smaller companies that prioritize customer service. She also urges providers to adopt Ofcom’s proposals to prevent unfair mid-contract price hikes.
So, if you’re unhappy with your current broadband provider, it might be time to shop around and see what other options are out there. Who knows, you might just save some money in the process.
