Chorley-based IT managed services provider, Orca IT, has recently been acquired by London-based firm FluidOne in a deal that aims to expand their presence in IT and Cyber Security Managed Services. The acquisition, which remains undisclosed in terms of the sum involved, marks a significant milestone for both companies.
Orca IT, founded by Managing Director Mark Tunstall and Technical Director Alex Pimperton, specializes in delivering a range of IT services, support, and strategic guidance to professional services organizations. This acquisition is a strategic move for FluidOne, as it aligns with their goal to triple in size over the next five years.
This acquisition is the latest in a series of strategic moves by FluidOne, following their acquisition of SureCloud Cyber Services earlier this year. With the addition of Orca IT, FluidOne now boasts a team of 540 employees across nine office locations.
Russell Horton, CEO of FluidOne, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating that Orca’s expertise will enhance their IT Center of Excellence and enable them to offer a wider range of services to their customers. Mark Tunstall of Orca IT also shared his enthusiasm for the acquisition, highlighting the opportunities it presents for their staff and clients.
Following the acquisition, Russell Horton will assume the role of Chairman at Orca IT, with FluidOne directors Simon Ward and Chris Rogers joining the board as well. This move solidifies the partnership between the two companies and sets the stage for future growth and collaboration.
