Innovate Humber has launched a new project to help small to medium-sized businesses and entrepreneurs across the region to innovate using research and development resources. The project, which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, aims to build the skills and resilience of businesses in the Humber region through a programme of events, workshops, mentoring and support. The focus is on helping SMEs and entrepreneurs to develop new products, services and processes and commercialise their ideas. The project is delivered by Hull Culture & Leisure Ltd, Hull Libraries’ Business & IP Centre and Makerspace teams, and covers areas including Hull, Beverley, Driffield, Bridlington, Hornsea, Withernsea, Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Scunthorpe, and Goole. A wide range of free or low-cost business workshops, webinars and events are on offer, including one-to-one expert clinics, business advice, book-keeping for business, social media, intellectual property and marketing.
