Fans express anger over the use of AI in creating Secret Invasion opening titles

The use of AI in the opening titles of Secret Invasion has caused controversy among Marvel fans. While some are excited about the new series, others are angry that the psychedelic mix of swirling colours was created using artificial intelligence instead of human artists. Executive producer Ali Selim defended the decision, saying that it fit into the narrative of Secret Invasion and felt explorative and inevitable. However, illustrator and concept artist David Blatt called the move “disgusting” and others described it as “shatteringly depressing”. Visual effects company Method Studios, which created the sequence, did not respond to requests for comment. Secret Invasion is available to watch on Disney Plus with new episodes released on Wednesdays.
