Linksys Unveils New NAS Device for Small Businesses
Linksys has recently announced the launch of their latest NAS device, designed specifically to cater to the storage needs of small businesses. The new appliance offers an economical and user-friendly solution for storing data and content.
Featuring a compact design, the Linksys NAS appliance provides 250GB of IDE hard-drive storage space. Its versatile form allows it to stand upright in small spaces or lay flat on the desktop. For those requiring additional storage capacity, an extra 250GB drive can be added to the empty second drive bay, increasing the total storage to 500GB. Users can manually back up the first drive or set up a scheduled backup once the second drive is installed.
To facilitate rotating backups, Linksys offers additional quick-connect hard drive trays (EFGHDT2) that allow users to easily swap multiple backup drives.
Equipped with a Gigabit-ready 10/100/1000 port, the Linksys NAS device can be connected to a Gigabit backbone for enhanced performance. In areas where Ethernet connections are not available, it can also connect to a wireless network using the Linksys Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge (WET54G).
The Linksys EFG250 NAS solution is now available for purchase, with an estimated street price of $899.
