Lottery enthusiast wins $350,000 jackpot in astonishment as computer-generated numbers are chosen

A Virginia man was in shock when he discovered that the Cash 5 with EZ Match ticket he purchased at a local Wawa was the winning one. Kevin Clements usually plays with carefully selected numbers, but this time he let the computer choose for him, and it paid off big time. The odds of matching all five numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 749,398. Virginia Lottery officials confirmed that all profits go to K-12 education in Virginia, and Mr Clements’ county received almost $16.2 million in Lottery funds for education last fiscal year. In Fiscal Year 2022, the Lottery raised more than $779 million for K-12 education, making up approximately 10 per cent of Virginia’s total K-12 school budget.
