Welcome to our Everton FC liveblog for Sunday, July 23! The Blues had an eventful day yesterday, with the senior team securing a 1-0 victory against Wigan Athletic away from home, while an alternative Everton XI played out a draw with Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. Ashley Young, the club’s latest signing, made an impressive start by scoring the winning goal at the DW Stadium.
In other transfer news, it seems that Young won’t be the only new face at Goodison Park this summer. Fans have been informed to anticipate the announcement of another loan signing in the near future, following a reported completion of a medical on Saturday.
