Datafort of Guildford Offers Cost-Effective Solution for Data Backup
Datafort, a company based in Guildford, has introduced a highly affordable solution to prevent potential downtime that could be detrimental to businesses. Their innovative product enables companies to compress their data at the source using a 256-bit financial grade encryption. This compressed and encrypted data is then securely transmitted via the internet to one of Datafort’s fireproof and alarmed data centers, which house high-quality, raid-enabled, SCSI-mirrored disk servers.
The data remains safely compressed and encrypted until it is retrieved and restored within the company’s firewall. The process is incredibly straightforward. The first step involves fully backing up all important information currently stored on the computer or computers. Datafort’s Off Site Back-up Software then compresses and encrypts the selected files before transmitting them through the internet connection to their mirrored disk servers.
Once the initial full backup is complete, the software continuously scans designated directories for any new or changed files. In the event of needing to restore a single file or an entire system, users can easily access an archive directory, select the required files for download, and restore them to any computer using their encryption key.
Pricing for this service varies based on the amount of storage space used. Considering the high level of security provided by Datafort and the peace of mind it offers, most small businesses are likely to find their charges acceptable.
Datafort’s solution has received a rating of 7 out of 10. Prices start from £9.95 per month. For more information, please contact 01483 872052 or visit their website at www.datafort.co.uk.
