One of the first personal computers built by Apple and signed by company co-founder Steve Wozniak has been sold at auction for over $223,000. The Apple-1, which has been fully restored and comes with a custom case and built-in keyboard, was auctioned by Boston-based RR Auction. Around 200 Apple-1 computers were manufactured in Steve Jobs’ garage in California in the late 1970s, and they played a crucial role in launching the company. Originally sold for $666, the computer was expected to fetch around $200,000. The buyer, who remains anonymous, also purchased an original handwritten advertisement for the Apple-1 Computer written by Jobs for almost $176,000. Additionally, an Apple company check signed by Jobs and Wozniak sold for over $135,000.
