NRD Cyber Security, a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions and services, has reported impressive financial results for the first half of this year. The company recorded a net profit of EUR 321,000, a significant increase of 49% compared to the same period in 2022. Moreover, its income for H1 2023 reached EUR 2,752, representing a growth of 14% from the first half of last year. Notably, the company experienced a substantial rise in income from the financial sector, with a remarkable 121% increase compared to 2022.
One of the highlights of the first half of the year for NRD Cyber Security was the introduction of its managed security service CyberSOC, which offers round-the-clock network monitoring. This service sets NRD Cyber Security apart as the first organization in Lithuania to provide continuous threat monitoring by skilled analysts rather than relying solely on automated tools. Additionally, the company witnessed an increase in the number of CyberSOC customers, with many opting for the 24/7 service option.
NRD Cyber Security expanded its reach beyond Lithuania by venturing into new markets such as Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and through World Bank projects in Armenia, Mongolia, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Tajikistan. These projects primarily focused on strengthening cybersecurity capabilities and establishing or modernizing cybersecurity teams (CSIRTs). A notable collaboration with the UK government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) resulted in the creation of a design for the CSIRT of the Kosovo energy sector. Furthermore, Natrix and CyberSet, the company’s cyber resilience tools, have been successfully deployed globally. In the first half of 2023, these solutions were implemented in Malta to safeguard critical information infrastructure.
NRD Cyber Security has been actively involved in organizing events and initiatives aimed at enhancing cyber resilience for countries and organizations both in Lithuania and abroad. These include international webinars for security teams, educational articles, and reports on improving cybersecurity maturity.
Looking ahead, the second half of the year promises to be equally eventful for NRD Cyber Security. The company has embarked on a large-scale project with The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) to strengthen the cyber resilience of EU countries. In this project, NRD Cyber Security will assess risks and evaluate the cybersecurity readiness level of public sector organizations in Lithuania. Additionally, the company plans to utilize the Zero Trust method in developing national cybersecurity principles while working on a project in Mongolia. Another ongoing initiative is the SOCshare project, which aims to elevate the maturity of Security Operations Centers (SOCs) operating within the EU by creating tools for sharing cyber threats.
