In an interview with CRN, Alexandra Zagury, VP of partner managed services and as-a-Service sales for Cisco, revealed that Cisco predicts 46% of their total addressable market will be sold as a managed service by 2027. This represents a significant opportunity for Cisco, estimated at around $161 billion.
Businesses of all sizes are facing various IT-related challenges, including increasing cyber threats and a global talent shortage. However, these challenges are creating opportunities for managed services delivered by partners. Managed services not only fulfill customers’ changing IT requirements but also help fill gaps and blind spots in a cost-effective manner. By offloading the management of critical IT assets such as security, networking, and collaboration, businesses can free up their teams to focus on more strategic projects. Additionally, customers using managed IT services can easily measure the business impacts of their IT investments.
During the interview, Zagury discussed Cisco’s own growth in the managed services business and the compelling opportunity it presents for partners. She also highlighted the potential for managed security services and the resources and incentives that Cisco is providing to enable more partners to develop their own managed services practices.
Overall, the growing demand for managed services is reshaping the IT landscape, and Cisco is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend.
