“Reckless Vandals Force School Closure with Destructive Prank”

In a shocking incident, two mischievous youngsters, a 13-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy, were apprehended after wreaking havoc in Rainford High School in St Helens. The destructive break-in, which occurred on Saturday, November 25 at around 9pm, left the school in disarray and forced its closure.

Merseyside Police received a report of the incident and promptly conducted a search of the premises. They discovered multiple classrooms, lockers, and glass windows had been vandalized. To make matters worse, fire extinguishers were maliciously used to damage toilets and equipment within the school.

As a result of this senseless act, the school has been compelled to close its doors almost entirely on November 27. However, it will briefly open today solely for a year 13 criminology exam, with hopes of resuming normal operations tomorrow, according to the Liverpool ECHO.

Disturbing footage, believed to be recorded inside the school, has circulated on social media. The video captures hooded vandals gleefully demolishing a classroom and wreaking havoc on school property, even utilizing a fire extinguisher to inflict further damage.

Although their faces remain concealed, the vandals can be heard on the video encouraging each other to continue their destructive spree. One voice can be heard saying, “Smash that computer before we go,” while another suggests taking milk from the fridge and pouring it.

In response to this incident, members of the local community have generously offered their assistance in cleaning up the mess, enabling the school to reopen as soon as possible.

Rainford High School expressed their disappointment in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), announcing the closure due to the significant amount of criminal damage caused by unidentified individuals. They emphasized their commitment to their ethos of unity and support, stating that they will bounce back stronger to ensure their students can achieve their aspirations despite this unexpected disruption to their education.

He urged anyone who witnessed the incident or recognized those involved in the videos circulating on social media to come forward and assist with the investigation. Additionally, he encouraged parents and guardians of students at the school to speak to their children and provide any information that could aid in the inquiry.

This reckless act of vandalism has not only caused extensive damage but also disrupted the learning and education of countless students. However, with the support of the community and a resilient spirit, Rainford High School is determined to overcome this setback and continue nurturing the hopes and aspirations of its young learners.
