CRN Reports: Linksys Launches NAS Solution Catering to Small BusinessesLinksys Introduces New NAS Device for Small Businesses

Linksys has recently unveiled a new NAS device designed to offer small businesses a cost-effective and user-friendly solution for storing data and content. The device, called Linksys EFG250 NAS, provides 250GB of IDE hard-drive storage space and can be positioned upright or laid flat on a desktop, making it ideal for small spaces.

To expand the storage capacity to 500GB, users can simply add an additional 250GB drive to the second drive bay. Once the second drive is installed, users have the option to manually back up the first drive or schedule automatic backups.

For added convenience, Linksys offers additional quick-connect hard drive trays (EFGHDT2), allowing users to easily swap multiple backup drives and create rotating backups.

The Linksys NAS device is equipped with a Gigabit-ready 10/100/1000 port, enabling seamless connection to a Gigabit backbone. In areas where Ethernet connections are not available, the device can also be connected to a wireless network using the Linksys Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge (WET54G).

The Linksys EFG250 NAS solution is now available for purchase at an estimated street price of $899.
