Repair Cafe Fixes Bicycles, Clothes, and Computers with a Touch of LovelinessSustainable Didcot recently hosted a three-hour event at their headquarters off Lydalls Road, known as the ‘green hub’. The event aimed to encourage sustainability by allowing members of the public to bring in their damaged goods to be repaired by expert repairers free of charge. Volunteers used sewing machines and screwdrivers to fix a variety of items including bicycles, electricals, computers, clothes, toys, and jewellery. The event was a success, raising £65 in donations which will help cover the cost of the room. Sustainable Didcot expressed their delight with the event on their Facebook page, describing it as “lovely” and praising the skilled repairers for their great fixes. The monthly cafe will be returning on February 17 from 2pm to 5pm.
