A bizarre twist in a 27-year-old case has left authorities reevaluating the circumstances surrounding the injuries sustained by Mr Geoffrey Wildsmith. Originally believed to be the result of a tragic accident, Mr Wildsmith, then 19, was found with part of his skull and brain missing after allegedly leaning out of a train window to be sick.
However, recent communication from Mr Wildsmith through a specially designed buzzer and coded alphabet has revealed a shocking revelation – he claims his injuries were actually caused by an assault. As he continues his recovery at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability in Putney, south-west London, British Transport Police are now reopening the case and urging anyone who was aboard the 23.33 train from Portsmouth Harbour to Woking on April 23, 1994, to come forward with any information they may have.
