Trend Micro Highlights Partner Opportunities at Risk to Resilience World Tour in Sydney
Last week, Trend Micro hosted its Risk to Resilience World Tour in Sydney, where the focus was on helping customers bridge security skills gaps with the help of partners. The event, held at The Ivy and attended by around 150 people, featured insights from Trend Micro’s Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) field CTO Mick McCluney.
McCluney emphasized the importance for organizations to address skills shortages by leveraging MSPs, MSSPs, or managed XDR services. He pointed out that “31 percent of [organizations] said [they] don’t have enough people, resources, tools, visibility.”
Trend Micro offers managed XDR services through its MSSP partner program, centered around the Trend Vision One platform. ANZ MD Srujan Talakokkula shared that the program has seen “almost 60 percent year on year growth” in the region.
Talakokkula also revealed upcoming changes for ANZ, including plans to expand the team and hire a new channel director. He announced that Trend Vision One will soon receive IRAP certification and that the platform’s threat intelligence capabilities will launch in June 2024.
With Trend Vision One offering a wide range of security solutions, including attack surface management and XDR capabilities, Talakokkula highlighted the importance of consolidation for customers. He noted that customers are seeking better outcomes, faster results, and cost savings by streamlining their cybersecurity tools.
Overall, the event showcased the value of partnerships in addressing security challenges and meeting the evolving needs of customers in the ANZ region.
