A former intelligence officer at ‘Britain’s FBI’ is facing jail time after being caught viewing hundreds of indecent images of children on his work computer. Adam Taylor, a 40-year-old ex-National Crime Agency (NCA) officer, pleaded guilty to multiple charges including misconduct in a public office and possessing indecent images. The judge warned him that he is likely to receive a custodial sentence at his hearing in August. Taylor, who was dismissed by the NCA for gross misconduct, was bailed ahead of his sentencing. NCA director general of operations Rob Jones expressed shock and sadness over the case, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to tackling online child abuse. He stated that individuals like Taylor have no place in law enforcement and praised the diligent work of NCA officers in bringing him to justice.
