SMCI Stock Soars 22% After Meeting SEC DeadlineThe stock of Super Micro Computer (SMCI) surged 22% after the server maker met the deadline imposed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to report its delayed financial results. The company was at risk of being delisted from the Nasdaq exchange if it missed the deadline, but SMCI stock saw a sharp increase as investors breathed a sigh of relief.

In the filing, Super Micro Computer’s auditor, BDO, stated that the financial statements presented the company’s position fairly. The updated and audited financials for Fiscal 2024 and the first two quarters of Fiscal 2025 were submitted to the SEC, eliminating any concerns about delisting from the Nasdaq exchange.

Last year, Super Micro Computer faced challenges with financial reporting, losing its auditor Ernst & Young and being accused of accounting malfeasance. The company has taken steps to address these issues by hiring additional accounting and audit employees and upgrading its IT systems. Despite these challenges, Super Micro’s sales more than doubled during Fiscal 2024 to $14.99 billion.

SMCI stock has risen 49% this year after a tough period last fall. Analysts have a consensus Hold rating on the stock, with an average price target suggesting an 18.38% downside risk from current levels. For more analyst ratings on SMCI stock, visit the link provided.
