Air IT Completes Acquisition, Expands into Yorkshire and North East
Private equity-backed managed IT services provider, Air IT, has successfully acquired Vital Technology Group Ltd, a fellow IT service provider based in Wetherby. Founded in 2006 by Lee Evans, Vital Technology Group Ltd will now become a regional hub for Air IT, covering Leeds, Yorkshire, and the wider North East region.
This acquisition marks Air IT’s expansion into Yorkshire and the North East, adding to its existing eight offices nationwide and dedicated local teams. With the addition of Vital’s team and premises, Air IT now boasts a combined headcount of nearly 500 employees.
James Steventon, CEO of Air IT, expressed his delight at welcoming Vital to the company, stating that they are a great fit with a similar approach and culture. He also highlighted their commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients. Steventon further emphasized that with Vital’s expertise in Microsoft cloud solutions, Air IT looks forward to incorporating their knowledge, skills, and experience into their operations. He added that this acquisition aligns with Air IT’s strategy of strong organic and M&A-driven growth.
