One of the first personal computers built by Apple and signed by company co-founder Steve Wozniak has been sold at auction for over $223,000. The Apple-1, which was restored to a fully operational state and came with a custom case with a built-in keyboard, was auctioned off by Boston-based RR Auction. Around 200 Apple-1 computers were manufactured in Steve Jobs’ garage in California in the late 1970s, and they played a crucial role in launching the company. Originally sold for $666, the computer was expected to fetch around $200,000. The buyer, who wishes to remain anonymous, also purchased an original handwritten advertisement for the Apple-1 Computer written by Jobs for nearly $176,000. Additionally, an Apple company check signed by both Jobs and Wozniak sold for over $135,000.
