"IT Services Business Makes Major Multi-Million Pound Investment in UK Operation, Boosting Growth and Innovation"

Auxilion, a provider of IT managed services and solutions, has announced the completion of the first phase of its UK expansion strategy. The company has invested £4m in its Managed Services Centre of Excellence in Sheffield, as part of its £15m commitment to the UK market. This expansion will double Auxilion’s UK capacity and has already resulted in the creation of 34 new roles this year.

The Managed Services Centre of Excellence will serve as a hub of innovation for the group, with a portion of the investment being allocated to new tools and technologies that will drive increased efficiencies in the complex multi-cloud world. Additionally, Auxilion has secured an £8m IT managed services contract with a global health and life sciences multinational, which will be delivered from its Service Operations Centre (SOC) in Sheffield.

Philip Maguire, CEO of Auxilion, expressed his excitement about the company’s growth strategy, stating, “We are committed to continually building the most progressive and innovative IT managed services capabilities in the UK and further afield.” He emphasized that the investment goes beyond physical expansion, as it also involves investing in new technologies, processes, training, and development to create skilled jobs in the region. Maguire highlighted the significance of winning the recent IT managed services deal, noting that the client had the option to choose any location in the UK or Europe but specifically chose Auxilion and the North of England.

Deirdre McPartlin, regional director for the UK & Nordics region at Enterprise Ireland, expressed pride in supporting Auxilion’s expansion plans and acknowledged the positive impact on both Irish and UK operations. She commended Auxilion’s investment in the North of England, which has led to strong results such as winning the £8m IT managed services contract in Sheffield. McPartlin assured continued support from Enterprise Ireland for Auxilion’s scaling journey in the region.

Maguire emphasized the importance of keeping the team together and mentioned the company’s investment in automation to enhance client services.

In addition to its Sheffield base, Auxilion has a project support services team in Warrington, a smaller operation in Telford, and other specialists located across the UK. The company remains optimistic about its future in the UK market and is actively seeking further acquisitions.
