"IT Services Business Makes Multi-Million Pound Investment to Strengthen UK Operation"

Auxilion, a provider of IT managed services and solutions, has completed the first phase of its UK expansion strategy with a £4m investment in its Managed Services Centre of Excellence in Sheffield. This investment is part of Auxilion’s overall commitment of £15m to the UK market. The expanded Service Operations Centre (SOC) in Paternoster Row will double the company’s UK capacity and has already created 34 new roles in 2023.

The Managed Services Centre of Excellence will serve as a hub of innovation for Auxilion, with a portion of the investment going towards new tools and technologies that will drive increased efficiencies in the complex multi-cloud world. Additionally, Auxilion has secured an £8m IT managed services contract with a global health and life sciences multinational, which will be delivered out of its SOC in Sheffield.

Philip Maguire, CEO of Auxilion, expressed his excitement about the expansion, stating, “The investment and expansion in our Centre of Excellence is a significant milestone in delivering on our UK growth strategy. We are committed to building the most progressive and innovative IT managed services capabilities in the UK and beyond.” Maguire also highlighted the company’s recent success in winning a significant IT managed services deal, emphasizing that the client chose Auxilion and the North of England over other options.

Deirdre McPartlin, regional director for the UK & Nordics region at Enterprise Ireland, commended Auxilion’s growth plans and highlighted the positive impact on both their Irish and UK operations. She also mentioned that Auxilion’s investment in the North of England has led to strong results, including winning the £8m IT managed services contract.

Maguire expressed the company’s commitment to keeping the team together and investing in automation to provide clients with faster and more effective services.

In addition to its Sheffield base, Auxilion has a project support services team in Warrington, a smaller operation in Telford, and other specialists located across the UK. The company remains optimistic about the future of its UK operation and is actively seeking further acquisitions in the country.
