Linksys Unveils New NAS Device for Small Businesses
Linksys has recently announced the development of a new NAS device aimed at providing small businesses with an affordable and user-friendly solution for storing data and content.
The latest Linksys NAS appliance offers 250GB of IDE hard-drive storage space, designed to fit seamlessly into small spaces or lay flat on a desktop. For those in need of more storage capacity, an additional 250GB drive can be added to the empty second drive bay, increasing the total storage to 500GB. Users can manually back up the first drive or set up scheduled backups once the second drive is installed.
To further enhance convenience, Linksys also offers additional quick-connect hard drive trays (EFGHDT2), allowing users to easily swap multiple backup drives and create rotating backups.
Equipped with a 10/100/1000 port, the Linksys NAS device is Gigabit-ready, enabling seamless connection to a Gigabit backbone. In areas where Ethernet connections are not available, the device can be connected to a wireless network using the Linksys Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge (WET54G).
The Linksys EFG250 NAS solution is now available for purchase at an estimated street price of $899.
