Toyota Investigating Cause of Production Shutdown, No Evidence of Cyber Attack

Toyota, one of Japan’s leading car manufacturers, is currently investigating the cause of a production shutdown at one of its plants. According to spokeswoman Sawako Takeda, the company does not believe the issue was caused by a cyber attack. However, the exact cause is still under investigation.

In a recent statement, Toyota expressed its apologies for the inconvenience caused by the shutdown. The company has not disclosed which models might be affected by the production halt.

The production shutdown adds to the challenges faced by Toyota due to the ongoing shortage of computer chips and other parts. The pandemic-related social restrictions in Asian nations have significantly impacted the availability of these crucial components. Fortunately, the chip shortage problem had started to ease for Toyota in recent times.

Despite the setback, Toyota has announced that production will resume on Wednesday, providing some relief to both the company and its customers.
